OVERVIEW

3rd party verification

As a manufacturer, we support the green transition and want to provide the construction industry and utility providers with building materials, that have a documented environmental impact.

We therefore, obtain environmental evaluation, verification and labeling from 3rd party independent and recognized bodies in Europe and Scandinavia for a selection of your cables.

EUROPEAN UNION

Ecolabel

Ecolabel is EU's official environmental label established in 1992. It guarantees that products meet strict environmental requirements either as consumer goods or as construction components. The label provide 3rd party environmental verification according to ISO 14024 type I - that focus on multi-criteria impacts from the full product life cycle, from extraction of raw material to disposal.

Electrical cables and wires can be evaluated, 3rd party verified and listed in Ecolabel construction database, whereby they are suitable for use in construction seeking to be environmentally approved via BREEM, LEED, Swan Label, DGNB etc.

SCANDINAVIA

Swan Label

Swan Label is the official Nordic environmental label for 3rd party independent approval and labeling or certification of consumer goods, construction components or entire buildings.

The label sets strict demands for chemical contents in individual materials and finished products, in order to protect both the environment and human health.

This includes substances that are harmful to the environment, carcinogenic, mutagenic or harmful to the human reproductive system. Swan Label for example, bans all organic fluorinated substances both classified and unclassified, excluding more than 4,000 chemicals.in this group.

Thus, electrical cables and wires must not contain any phthalates exceeding 100 ppm or 0.1% per 100 kg of finished product.
